Q: What time is Check in / Check out?

A: Check in is 4pm and Check out is 12Noon

Q: Is early arrival available? 

A: If you expect to arrive early in the day and would like immediate access to your room before 4 pm, we recommend booking the room for the prior night to guarantee immediate access. Similarly, for late departures past 12 noon, reserving an additional night will guarantee access to your guest room until you depart. If you choose not to reserve, we will be glad to store your bags for you.

Q: What is the payment process? 

A: Upon arrival you will be asked to provide a valid credit or debit card along with matching photo identification. The hotel will put a hold of the entire amount of any outstanding room and tax. Additionally, for incidental charges such as minibar, restaurant charges, or in room movies an additional 100 USD per night. Any unused funds will be released back to you at checkout. These funds may take up to 72 hours for your bank to release them securely to your personal account. International banks may take longer depending on your financial institution.

Q: What are the rates and taxes policies? 

A: Rates are based on single and double occupancy and do not include NY City, State or Occupancy taxes. 100 USD per person, per night is applied for rooms with more than 2 occupants. Children up to the age of 11 stay free. Cribs are available on request at no additional charge. Additional twin size beds are available at a charge of 50 USD per night. Additional guest fees apply if the room has more than two occupants.

Q: What is the pet policy? 

A: McCarren Hotel & Pool welcomes and loves pets! We welcome pets under 25 pounds. A Pet Fee of $100 is due upon arrival, we would also require a Pet Waiver form to be completed. Guests are required to complete a pet waiver card on arrival and will be responsible for any damage or if excessive cleaning is required. To request a pet waiver, please email us at and we will forward you one.

Q: Where can I park? 

A: Street parking is available on the same block and near the hotel. There is also 24 hour secure parking available within two blocks of the hotel: 101 Parking, located at 101Bedford Avenue, Self Parking for $24/24 hours, 101 Bedford Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11211 718-387-1737. N12th Parking, located at 113 N12th Street, Self Parking for $25 for compact car and $35 for an SUV 24 hours, 113N 12th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11249 718-631-8400.

Q: Can I have packages delivered to the hotel? 

A: The hotel welcomes your package deliveries in advance. There will be a $4 per package storing charge for over 5 packages sent prior to arrival. The hotel does not accept packages over 100kg, packages 25kg and over will be a $45 per package storage fee and will be kept in storage until guest check out and not delivered to the room to avoid damage and guest interruptions.

Q: What is the smoking policy? 

A: All guest rooms at McCarren Hotel & Pool are non-smoking. If smoke is detected in a guest room, a cleaning fee of 250 USD will be charged.

Q: What are the rates & packages terms and conditions? 

A: Some rates and packages require a non-refundable, full pre-payment. Please read rate plan terms carefully. All offers are subject to availability at the time of reservation. Offers are not valid in conjunction with any other offer or contract and do not apply to groups. Rates are per room, per night, vary by arrival date and/or length of stay, and do not include applicable taxes, gratuities or surcharges, unless otherwise noted.

Q: What is the cancelation policy? 

A: Cancellations and modifications must be made at least 48 hours prior to arrival to avoid a penalty of 1 night room and tax charges.

Q: What is the guarantee policy? 

A: All reservations require a valid credit card to guarantee at the time of reservation. Total Cost confirmed is before taxes and fees. Taxes are currently 14.75% and a $3.50 occupancy tax per night applies.

Q: Does the Hotel provide Rollaways?

A: Unfortunately, Rollaway and sleeper couches are not available in the hotel.
